On Friday, President Obama signed the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, formerly known as “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB). The updated law, called the “Every Student Succeeds Act” (ESSA) includes a number of provisions cheered by STEM advocates.
After several blocked attempts, U.S. aerospace manufacturer Orbital ATK finally succeeded in docking their Cygnus module on the International Space Station (ISS) yesterday! Containing food, supplies, tanks of nitrogen and oxygen, and an array of science experiments, the module was a welcome sight to the six astronauts living on board the ISS.
