You probably know that March 14 (3/14) is known as Pi Day, to honor the number that equals the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Without pi, mathematicians, scientists, and engineers would be lost ­ and without pie, we think the world would be a much sadder place. So how can chemists celebrate Pi Day?
